Summary! Alec McDonald Media Arts: Block A 01/11/19 My independent project for Media arts 12 has been my first full venture into hand drawn animation. I was set and ready to do a music video of sorts and knew which of my characters I wanted to use for it. I also took way too big of a bite of the task to begin with. After Creating my Ref sheets for the characters, I moved onto figuring out the song, going through “The Red Queen” by SPG, “We need a Hero” by SPG, and finally “Thornmail” by Pentakill. At first, I wanted to do a full 2-and-a-half-minute long animation set to The Red Queen by Steam Powered Giraffe, which I honestly thought was an achievable thing for me, even though this is – after all – my first attempt at such a thing.
